Conferences & other real-time learning opportunities

The Fellowship may be able to cover some of these programs costs or help you find the funding necessary to cover your transportation costs. Additionally, if you are participating in these programs, the Fellowship can be a place that helps you prepare or provide feedback on your projects. We have working relationships with organizers from these programs.

AEMS (Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems)

AEMS will take place in the summer in Vienna and focus on alternative approaches for a more sustainable future. The program welcomes about 50-60 international students and professionals every year, and is open to all fields of study/walks of life. Application will open in January. In the meantime, you can sign up for our (quarterly) newsletter to stay up to date. The program takes place annually in Vienna and is organized as a not-for-profit cooperation project between OeAD student housing, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and representatives of the Economy for the Common Good (ECG). We’ve received one scholarship for one person to participate in AEMS with a reduced participation fee. Learn more here.

ISB Summer School

The Institute for Social Banking is bringing an unforgettable educational experience focused on the critical theme of "Finance for the Common Good”, in the vibrant city of Vienna, co-produced together with our member Genossenschaft für Gemeinwohl. A week full of workshops, interactive lab sessions and lectures brings the best practices of our movement and aims to inspire into the future. Peter DeSimone Student Scholarship Program

The scholarship offers undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in a career in sustainable and impact investment the opportunity to attend US SIF FORUM. The scholarship grew out of a US SIF initiative on diversity and inclusion and is intended to both enhance the diversity of the field and introduce students to the sustainable investment industry.
