Croatan Institute

Croatan Institute is an independent, nonprofit research and action institute whose mission is to build social equity and ecological resilience by leveraging finance to create pathways to a just economy. We envision an equitable world where finance supports flourishing communities, vibrant places, and resilient economies. Check out there tools and resources for asset managers/owners and the vast amount of research that they have. Join their mailing list and really good events. Global Alliance on Banking Values

The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) is an international network of banks and financial institutions that prioritize sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical banking practices. Founded in 2009, the GABV consists of member banks from around the world that are committed to using finance to create positive social, environmental, and economic impacts. The GABV promotes a values-based approach to banking and serves as a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among its member institutions to advance sustainable and responsible banking practices.

Institute for Social Banking

The Institute for Social Banking is an organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the concept of social banking. Social banking is a banking approach that focuses on the triple bottom line, which includes not only financial profitability but also social and environmental impacts. The institute provides training, education, and research opportunities for individuals and institutions interested in practicing and promoting ethical and sustainable banking. It aims to create a community of practitioners and advocates who are committed to using finance as a tool for positive social and environmental change.

Intentional Endowments Network

The Intentional Endowments Network (IEN) connects endowments, asset managers, investment consultants, nonprofit partners, and individuals. Join our community of over 200 active members to connect with peers, stay up to date on the latest best practices, develop partnerships, and advance the field of mission-aligned, sustainable investing. IEN is committed to making justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) part of the culture and the strength of our organization and work.

MITx Just Money: Banking as if Society Mattered

Do you know what your bank does with your money? What is the role of a bank in producing societal well-being? This course looks into banks that operate differently, namely, “just banks" that use capital and finance as a tool to address social and ecological challenges. This course is for anyone who wants to understand the unique role banks play as intermediaries in our economy and how they can leverage that position to produce positive social, environmental, and economic change.

New Economy Coalition

The New Economy Coalition is a membership-based network representing the solidarity economy movement in the United States. We exist to organize our members into a more powerful and united force, in order to accelerate the transition of our economic system from capitalism to a solidarity economy. NEC’s members are a cross section of nonprofits, mission-driven businesses, grassroots community organizations, and sectoral associations.

oikos International

oikos will offer Leadership Development and other Sustainability Resources to Fellows for free. oikos is a non-profit that supports a network of chapters in over 40 universities all around the world. With around 1,000 active students and an alumni network of more than 10,000, oikos draws on its 36-year history to empower student change agents. NEIII is happy to work with oikos and leverage its network and experience in hosting spaces, organizing education programs, and connecting people globally.

SOCAP

We convene a global ecosystem and marketplace – social entrepreneurs, investors, foundation and nonprofit leaders, government and policy leaders, creators, corporations, academics, and beyond – through live and digital experiences that educate, spur conversation, and inspire investment in positive impact. We work under the leadership of the Sorenson Impact Institute to achieve our mission to unlock the power of markets for impact for all.

SIILK - (Sustainable & Impact Investing Learning and Knowledge)

The Sustainable & Impact Investing Learning & Knowledge (SIILK) Initiative was formed at the convergence of several conversations within and beyond the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN) around the growing interest in student-managed investment funds (SMIFs) pursuing sustainable investing strategies, as well as the development of sustainable investing focused curriculum.

SRI Event

Has been the first and is so far the sole Twitter handle in the world exclusively devoted to telling the stories of events on sustainable finance. @SriEvent stands among the world’s top social media influencers on #responsibleinvestment, #sustainablefinance, #greenfinance

UNDP - Knowledge Hub and SDG Academy

UNDP’s work drives systemic change in public and private finance that benefits people and planet. UNDP works with partners across 4+1 integrated service offers towards achievement of the SDGs.

US SIF

The US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment is a non-profit organization based in the United States that promotes sustainable, responsible, and impact investing. US SIF serves as a membership association for professionals, firms, institutions, and organizations involved in sustainable and responsible investing.

WISE - Women Investing for a Sustainable Economy

WISE has 8 chapters globally – Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington DC, London, and Toronto – and a virtual chapter for all other members outside these locations

Aviva Investors

Aviva Investors is a global asset management company that combines insurance heritage, investment expertise, and sustainability to provide wealth and retirement outcomes for clients. Aviva Investors offers investment services for commercial borrowers, real assets, and fixed income following an investment philosophy that includes responsible investing, informed risk, and long-term perspective.

They are first movers in the field and have been supporting the Fellowship in previous editions.

The Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI) Works to strengthen the sustainable development potential of international investment, and to ensure that international investment is mutually beneficial for investors and the citizens of recipient countries. They develop and disseminate practical approaches to maximize the benefits of international investment for sustainable development and knowledge-sharing.

Project Drawdown is the world’s leading resource for climate solutions.

Their work focuses on advancing Effective, Science-based Climate Solutions and Strategies, fostering Bold, New Climate Leadership and promoting New Narratives and New Voices.

The Carbonauts are on a mission to change the world by inspiring and educating millions of people in order to shift our culture to a sustainable one and help our species flourish in the beautiful green future that is just around the corner.

They deliver live virtual video workshops on sustainability topics to Fortune 1000 clients across the planet.

The Barbados Environmental Conservation Trust (BECT) has been set up to enable and support local environmental activities aimed at the preservation and restoration of Barbados’ natural assets. Follow for relevant climate finance and impact investing topics.

Island Innovation Island Innovation is a social enterprise that connects island communities with sustainable development practitioners to promote positive change.
